Besides election coverage tonight, I’m going to watch the 4K of The Lost Boys and Dario Argento’s The Bird With The Crystal Plumage.
Watching It: Welcome to Derry reminds me so much of this Halloween photo from 1958 courtesy of Shorpy. “Kodachrome taken by a school teacher of her class in Michigan 1958. Collection of Joe Geronimo.” www.shorpy.com/node/13881
Now, what shall I get into today? I need recommendations.
The Murder Most Haunted book intrigues me.

Good night, everyone. Hope you had a frightful Halloween. Horrid dreams!
A movie you’ve seen more than 7 times with a gif
Forget season depression. Embrace seasonal anger.
Still hoping there’s a straggler who miraculously comes to my rescue.
I’m thoroughly disappointed in my friends. For the past month I’ve tried to have a small party where we eat snacks and watch John Carpenter’s The Fog in 4K. People cancelled, could never make it, or just left me hanging. Here it is almost Halloween and I guess I’ll be watching it by myself.

If you see this, post four female characters you love.
My hands are absolutely freezing and I’ve been cold all day…so I think the best thing to do is go on a walk in 52° rainy mist.
I still can’t get over the colors in Messiah of Evil. I really need a 4K disc.
I want a new television series that’s a 1970s period piece that uses actual 35mm film and emulates the technicolor look. It’ll be expensive but it’ll be worth it.

The dishy vicar from Keeping Up Appearances.
Tonight’s film is Messiah of Evil (1974 but filmed in 1971). Such an interesting film visually and conceptually. Starring Marianna Hill, Michael Greer, Anitra Ford, Royal Dano, and Elisha Cook Jr. It’s a shame the original 35 mm negative was lost.
Who else is watching IT: Welcome to Derry? I do love a good Stephen King universe story.
I think I might take a nap at 7:30 pm on a Sunday night.
