Edmonton, I am excited to announce that I am running to be your next mayor.

Edmonton has always been at its best when we work together. As mayor, I'll build on this strength by bringing together governments, non-profits, Indigenous leaders, faith communities, and engaged citizens to ensure our city works for everyone.
As mayor, I will
Implement a focused strategy to address youth homelessness
As mayor, I will
Create preventative support programs that keep people housed
We cannot wait for Danielle Smith to solve the housing crisis.
I will no longer wait to act when lives are at stake.
My plan is cost-effective, realistic and urgent.

That's why I developed a cost-effective plan to address this urgent crisis and build a more compassionate and secure city for everyone.

Here's my plan:
▪️Increase social and affordable housing
▪️Rapid action for urgent needs
▪️Prioritize prevention
As mayor, I will
Increase the supply of affordable, social and permanent housing
As mayor, I will
Partner with Indigenous governments to create new Indigenous-led housing programs
As mayor, I will
Increase the number of safe and supportive day shelters

Edmonton is facing a homelessness crisis, with nearly 5,000 people without a home. I know Edmontonians are feeling the impact, and I share your concerns.

My plan for
Homelessness and
Affordable Housing
Edmonton is experiencing a housing crisis.
Homelessness is on the rise. And more of us are struggling to pay rising rent and housing costs.
I will address this crisis with an empathetic and effective plan.

As mayor, I’ll keep supporting innovators, start-ups, and local businesses by cutting red tape, modernizing city services, and making Edmonton a city that leads — not follows — in new ideas and technology.
andrewknack.bsky.social
Technology and entrepreneurship are key to building a stronger, more diverse economy — one that creates good jobs, attracts investment, and keeps talent here at home.
andrewknack.bsky.social
It’s Start Up Week!

Edmontons Technology sector is booming with local companies securing over $2.7 billion dollars in venture capital funding and creating thousands of jobs in our city.

Edmonton’s future depends on how we innovate.

This framework is uses the Calls to Action as a roadmap
to advance reconciliation, equity, and healing within the community through tangible actions and commitments.

Let us all walk this path of reconciliation with humility, compassion, and a shared commitment to striving for a better tomorrow.

This year is also the 10th Anniversary of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Final Report and the 94 Calls to Action.

The City of Edmonton’s Indigenous Framework, developed with the contributions and collaboration of many local Indigenous leaders, elders, and knowledge keepers.

Today we honour the residential school survivors and the children who were never returned home.

It’s about recognizing reconciliation is about healing, family and coming together and community. Recognizing the past and working towards meaningful change.
