If only Putin’s involvement was the worst thing about it.

Why are we even considering it!? No right-minded government should go anywhere near it.

When did everyone start saying “100%” when what they mean is “yes”?

When did everyone start saying “going forward” when what they mean is “in future”? (Also redundant since they’re using the future tense. That’s what it’s for.)

When did everyone start saying “good” when what they mean is “well”?

A lucky escape for Moynihan if you ask me.

(And I’m not sure I’d qualify refusing to open an account for a serial bankrupt, liar, and convicted felon as ‘debanking’. Sounds more like sturdy risk management.)

"The WEF should 'start doing something new: showing up — and listening — in the places where the modern world is actually built', Larry Fink said in a blog post on Monday. 'Davos, yes. But also places like Detroit and Dublin'."

Well, if we're playing that game, what about Doncaster and Dundee?

The UK was better off in the EU and Europe was better off with the UK in it.

All of this Trump driven chaos underlines that and you can practically hear Putin rubbing his hands in Moscow.

WE have deliberately weakened ourselves, our security and our region for absolutely no good purpose at all.

Agree with @gideonrachman.bsky.social:

“European leaders need to push back now. Over the past year, they have tried appeasement and flattery. This is where it has got them. They need to change course immediately.”
Europe must not appease Trump on Greenland
By capitulating again, the EU and UK would signal that we are now irrevocably in a might-makes-right world

So….cashtags. They’re nothing more than hashtags by another name. Opportunity squandered, @bsky.app. I hoped for at least a market data graph and some analysis once you clicked on one. Surely @bloomberglp.bsky.social or @reuters.com would have been happy to provide the data in exchange for branding.

Fine. Good. This can’t come soon enough.
