Some more context about how I hacked together my own "native tabs"-like VS Code functionality for KDE: https://andreklein.net/vs-code-native-tabs-linux-kde/ #linux #development #kde #plasmoid
How to get VS Code "Native Tabs" on KDE Plasma (Linux)
When you're juggling three repos in VS Code and a dozen browser tabs, Alt+Tab becomes a game of Russian Roulette. You’re looking for your frontend, but you end up staring...

Some different uses cases for KDE Filtered Taskbar https://github.com/burninc0de/kde-filtered-taskbar
- fast switching between VSCODE projects
- "pin" terminal and browser for faster access
Alt+TAB? Sure, but this can get messy if you have twenty apps running. #KDE #productivity

After being spoiled by Kitty on CachyOS I dug a bit deeper today into Windows Terminals.
- left: WezTerm
- right: Tabby
- bottom: Alacritty
WebGPU and Harfbuzz support on Wezterm is goated.

A few of you asked about the TUI editor from yesterday. I finished the README, squashed the messy history, and kicked it out the door.

Messing around with Floyd-Steinberg vs Atkinson for 1bit dithering for e-ink picture frame. fascinating stuff. Love that lofi crispness of Atkinson's (img2). The irony: needing @numba_jit just to get 1984 code running at the speed it was designed for in 2026. #eink #lofi

I don't know about the plot of Tron: Ares but it's a nice 1:50h music video for the new Nine Inch Nails album. Also cool to see that the Dillinger grid runs on systemd:

Tried adding a quick Hebrew note to a PDF. 30 secs job, right? Paste and move on.
1 hr later: 10 AUR packages deep, Okular and MasterPDF reversing Hebrew (because reasons), Xournal and LibreDraw just quietly dying.
Linux PDF + RTL = pure suffering

Set up a pristine DietPi config on a brand new Pi -- PiHole, JellyFin, Samba, etc., all dialed in perfectly --only to snap the SD card while jamming it into a custom case. Murphy's Law strikes again. #RaspberryPi #TechFail #DietPiDisaster

I continue to think LLMs are absurdly powerful for learning, and I'm using them more often for it.

The problem is that a lot of people don't have solid metacognitive skills around epistemics and autodidactism.

You've got to have a handle on what you know, how you learn, and if you're learning.

My real skill as an author isn't writing, it's taking procrastination to ever newer creative heights, so I almost convince myself it's productive. #writinglife

Continuing to build out the unified Home Feed that shows merged Bluesky/Mastodon in SocialSox:
- exclude languages from your feed
- follow/mute/block/boost/reply
- slide for mixing Bluesky/Masto items

At this point I'm convinced AWS & Google Cloud console GUIs are deliberately designed as obtuse labyrinths so you’ll inevitably flip the wrong toggle, enable a hidden service, and get quietly nickel-and-dimed to death by micro-requests.
