AUTUMN in my neck of the woods is just INDESCRIPTIBLE …Everything outside Is SOOO crisp, SOOO colorful, SOOO simple yet SOOO grand, SOOO beautiful ! And SOOO nostalgic … I can’t get enough of these days ! I keep on EATING them WITHOUT being hungry ! Every year, I get a bad case of FALL bulimia !

So MANY of them this year ... Thousands of tiny YELLOW apples on the WILD tree that thrones in the MIDDLE of my garden ... Today, I decided to live DANGEROUSLY and try to make JELLY with these wickedly TART fruits ... And I just INVENTED preserved SUNSHINE jam ! It is DEEEEELICIOUS !

My beautiful CHILI girl will be turning SIX next WEEK … and for the past YEAR her right EAR is turning prematurely GREY … just like her wire-haired griffon FURRY mom who turn from black to SALT AND PEPPER later on … and her HUMAN mother who sported a CRUELLA-style DO by the time she turned THIRTY …

I have a NEW passion ! I am now a NUTS and tree SEEDS hunter ! And my GOAL is to sow them, GERMINATE them, grow them to a SEEDLING size then transplant TONS of them in the FOREST around our house for FUTURE generations to enjoy ... Look who was basking in the 5 minutes of sunshine we got in the past 8 days on the weathered blade of my old hatchet ! PRAYING MANTIS babies ! Ever since I saw one catching and killing a hummingbird on one of my feeders, I am not a big fan of them … But they can’t help it, it’s in their nature !
