Memories in Orbit blends gorgeous hand-drawn visuals, a haunting sci-fi mystery, and satisfying Metroidvania exploration into one of the most memorable indie experiences this year. You play as Mio, a small robot exploring a dying ark filled with broken machines, hidden upgrades, and intense boss fights. Combat progression is handled through modules instead of traditional leveling, giving builds more flexibility and keeping fights fresh. While the game shines in presentation and discovery, it also stumbles with harsh platforming sections, limited accessibility options, and story events that can remove hard-earned health upgrades.
