It's also, unfortunately, how it works here. We just had a Liberal government for the past 10 years. So after several years, people are tired of Liberal and vote Conservative. Then after several years the votes will shift again when people are tired of Conservative.

Can't wait to eventually move to a place where I have to carefully select which socialist party I want to vote for and the conservatives are more central lol.

There were a couple of seats that were really close, so a recount might make a Conservative minority rather than majority, but still, they'd have more seats.

We have three parties, plus independents, we can vote for. The party I vote for usually doesn't do great.
