The Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in January on President Donald Trump's request to be able to remove Lisa Cook from her position as a governor on the Federal Reserve Board. The court's order means that Cook will remain in office for now.

Nothing on the TikTok case on today's order list, which deals with petitions for review that the justices considered at their conference last Friday. We don't know when the court will act on the TikTok case, although the court has indicated that it will issue opinions in argued cases on Wed am.

Oops! The Supreme Court on Monday morning clarified that in Catholic Charities' challenge to Wisconsin's denial of a religious tax exemption, it will only consider that issue and not a second question related to the standard of proof.
