I've been posting one thing I am thankful for each day. Today I'm thankful (and a little surprised) that I'm not running out of things, despite the chaos. Finding the small bright spots has made a difference.
Today I am thankful that our dog is able to distinguish between outside trees and the Christmas tree.

Today I was able to figure out a shortcut in our software at work that means I can create a complex report in the same time it used to take for a basic one. I know it sounds kind of geeky, but I enjoy the part where I get to present to the clients, and better reports = more presentations!

On Saturday my son helped me pick out a new (to me) lamp and framed print from the thrift store for my office. Today I brought everything in and set it up, and it's lovely. Today I am thankful that every time I have to go to work I'll have a reminder of time spent with my (21 y/o) kid.

Today I am thankful that my parents both received good health news last week. They're both in their 80s, so that's something we can't take for granted.

I finished the holiday cookies today. My back is shot and I'm practically vibrating from the excess sugar, but I'm thankful that they're ready to pack up to share with friends and family.

Today I am thankful that my baby was born 21 years ago so all the kids he interacted with were vaccinated. They've grown up to be some lovely young adults-which is the whole idea.

Today I am thankful for Mr. Rogers. He made it seem so simple; just be everyone's neighbor. (Even though King Friday the 13th and Lady Elaine Fairchild were a little weird looking, they were still friends!)

Couldn't get a good photo to save my life, but the moon is gorgeous tonight! I'm thankful that I live in an area without too much light pollution so I can enjoy the night sky.

When I started posting on Bluesky, it was with the intention of being mindful about gratitude. I assumed I would have few if any followers, so I'm surprised, pleased, and thankful for the few hundred of you who I hope also have small things to be thankful for.

It seemed like I got an unusually large amount of emails today. It literally took me all day to realize it was because today is cyber Monday. Today I am thankful that the noise went over my head.

The garden club ladies made wreaths this afternoon to hang around town. We all had the same materials, but no two wreaths looked alike. Today I am thankful for beautiful differences.

Today starts the annual cookiepalooza. I've limited myself to 12 kinds this year. I am thankful that there are enough people in my life to share all these cookies with every year.

We had a very nice Thanksgiving with our neighbors and an assortment of friends. Today I am thankful for good conversation, excellent food, and elastic waistbands.

I think I might be officially old. Werther's made a "seasonal mix" of caramel apple hard candy and apple and pumpkin spice soft caramel, which is fabulous. Today I am thankful that the store had a few packages left-and they were on clearance!

I've cleaned out my baking cabinet (everyone has one of those, right?)and come up with my list of cookies for this year. Today I am thankful that shoprite has a lot of the ingredients I need on sale this week.

I recently discovered that my public library has a Library of Things. I'm excited to see they have a yarn swift and winder, and a little concerned that they also have a Geiger counter. Today I am thankful that I do not currently need a Geiger counter.

I'm reasonably flexible for a middle aged woman, but I'm in awe of the absolute pretzel Karoline Leavitt twisted herself into by claiming that the Piggy remark was in fact respectful due to its frankness. Today I am thankful that I don't have a job like hers.

Today I am thankful that I was able to acquire all the ingredients to make Aunt Connie's meatballs. Fingers crossed that they come out good, since I've never made homemade meatballs before!

It was warm, sunny, cold, windy, raining, sleeting, and snowing. Today I am thankful for all the seasons. (But it would be easier to dress appropriately if they could refrain from all happening at once.)
