It was the strangest combination of normality and chaos I have ever experienced.

I saw that duality every day. Even with missile attacks, people were soaking in the light rather than dwelling in the dark. I know this may sound like incoherent rambling, but maybe I'll find the right words in time.

The best way I know how to process things is by drawing. The first image that stuck in my head was my son eating breakfast in the Mamad ( a personal shelter).

It was surreal to see my son happily eating with sirens blaring and distant booming in the background.

This year's Passover piece is of Moses in the Nile.
The story of Passover is so powerful. I feel called to draw a scene from it every year. As a new mom, I can not fathom the enormous faith it took Yocheved to send her son down the Nile. It hurts to imagine.

I randomly remembered this book I read as a teen. I loved it but also was incredibly frustrated by some unsolved mysteries in the story. I stubbornly read it a couple of times, thinking I’d find the answers that I must have missed😂
I never did, but this book made an impression on me either way.
