I spent some precious vacation time polishing up my projects page, and figured it wouldn't be so bad to do a thread showing some stuff off just in case people aren't super familiar with my body of work

Horrible things keep happening around me every day but as long as I keep my hand closed and call riichi once I hit tenpai in the long run it should all work out
there are hills everywhere for those with legs to climb them
Coming back to melee after playing all the card games is so crazy. Everyone is really playing the high decision character in the high decision game and complaining about having to make too many decisions
Helpful, harmless, honest
Things that feel like watching the movie that aren’t:
- watching clip compilations of the movie on YouTube
- only watching one part of the movie over and over
This sounds like snark but it’s not. I think most people can’t really resist changing the channel or not paying attention to the movie. Sometimes the movie is really unpleasant, and it depicts something about you that makes you uncomfortable. But all you have to do is not look away.
I feel like I’ve learned a good amount in the last few months laddering all these ranked queues. My new thesis is that for most things, getting good at them is about sitting through a very long, mostly boring movie (being alive, while playing the thing)
Got the flu shot and couldn’t do anything for three days so I started learning legends of runeterra
Did this for some reason
I can trace so many good things in my life back to me throwing myself recklessly into my love for games. I’ve never once regretted that sort of decision.
Feeling romantic about games watching this fangamer undertale stream.
Ok well that’s the last of these
Yeah it’s kind of crazy how many mechanics there are. I did like starter deck duel a lot! Unlike in standard it definitely felt a lot more like the games were intended to go past turn 5-6, I think I learned a lot about the different objectives by playing it a bunch
I’m not sure how realistic it would be to rank to mythic within like 3 weeks of picking up the game for the first time but I am super thrilled to have gotten this far
Still not super sure what colors I will play long term but it’s fun to have a game to play when I’ve used up all my hand strain points for the day
The “tutorial” phase of learning mtg arena has been extremely long (Laddering spark ranked, unlocking everything in starter deck duel, and completing the color challenge) but I guess I get it, the game seems pretty involved
