Hi new blue sky people! I’m Ambie and I like board games, puzzle games, jigsaw puzzles, and other stuff. I make a bunch of content for board games and puzzle games too.
On here I post about all that stuff, plus other hobbies and things my kids (5yo twins) say/do. So it’s a mishmash of my interests!

I almost missed this! It’s been a busy few weeks so I haven’t been checking YouTube as often but I logged into YouTube studio today and it said we hit 5K an hour ago!

I almost missed this! It’s been a busy few weeks so I haven’t been checking YouTube as often but I logged into YouTube studio today and it said we hit 5K an hour ago!

My first attempt at latte art with our new espresso machine! Toby made the espresso and steamed the milk, I just poured. I’m excited it actually made a definite shape! It turned out like a blob so I just used a toothpick to turn it into a skull.

I have a bunch of jigsaw puzzle advent calendars I’m doing and it’s getting my kid back into doing jigsaw puzzles! They’re the perfect size for him to be able to do by himself (I think having him do my 500-1000 piece puzzles with me was a bit overwhelming for him 😅)

My kid is acting out charades to have me guess board games, but he alternates between something on the box art and the gameplay without letting me know, which makes it pretty hard to guess. He also sometimes acts out the company logo instead. That was super hard 😆

Solo puzzle done! I was hoping for under an hour but when I opened it I knew it would be a tougher one. Luckily it was a little easier than I thought since the colors were actually distinct. But the text was hard - usually I do text first but I ended up doing it last!

Tomorrow I’m gonna go to CA state jigsaw puzzle competition, and it will be the first time I’m competing the whole day! I signed up for all the events (solo, pair relay, pair, team), and it’s also the first time my pairs partner will be another adult. My kid did not want to do it with me this year 😅

One of my 6yo’s today at dinner said he wanted to make a board game similar to MicroMacro. So after dinner he started drawing and like 15 minutes later came back with two cases - “who stole the crown?” & “who stole the lantern?” (He also had follow up questions for each after I found the first part)

The other day we watched some Ghostbusters for the first time, and my kids looked at the Bomb Busters box again.
So yesterday my kid made up lyrics to the entire Bomb Busters song parody and had me write them down, and he's going to make a music video.

“Mommy, sing Bomb Busters!”
Me: “I don’t know that song, what is it?”
5yo: “like Ghostbusters, but Bomb Busters!”
He then proceeded to start singing it.
I guess he’ll be writing my song parodies from now on!

Got Cat Crimes from Goodwill (in shrink!) and the kids wanted to play it today so they went through 5 levels. Cute logic game! Says ages 8+, but beginner levels were pretty easy and my 6yo’s were able to grasp the logic. I just needed to read it to them. Super excited that they like logic games too!

I had a dream that I sang Golden at Karaoke without warming up and I didn’t know the Korean part. So this morning I looked up the lyrics to try to learn the Korean part so I can be prepared when I do karaoke sometime.
