Progress! Beta should be ready by Jan 2026
New in my SFX manager: sortable table columns with proper SQL-level sorting. Click 'Duration' to sort 200k files by length instantly, or sort alphabetically by Library/Category/etc. Works across pagination. Also, some minor UI polish.

Just implemented database-level pagination + virtual scrolling in my SFX manager. Now handles 500k+ audio files smoothly. Search still finds ALL matching files across your entire library, paginations just helps with RAM on lower spec devices.

Favorites added :) improved theme manager as well
Next year I'll be releasing a beta version. It will be free, and once stable I'll make it open source.
On Linux it runs so much better and all features. After I finish few more backend tasks the app will move 100% to Linux.
Added a Theme Editor today :D
My lightweight SFX manager is looking good now.
In future builds I'll be replacing Tkinter with PyQt6 so the app will be able to handle massive databases + Metadata Editor should be ready by December. #SFX #Metadata #UCS #python #sounddesign
Basic functions are working fine now... finally! Still plenty to do
I've been working on a simple, lightweight Sound Effects manger that works natively on Linux and MacOS.
It supports BWF Metadata and UCS. Still, there's plenty to do and plenty to learn, but the app is starting to work and look good. www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWFI...

A light-weight, linux native, Sound Effects manager is in the works. Still trying to fix pulling all the metadata correctly (UCS works good) but library isn't read correctly. A lot of other stuff work tho! #sounddesign #sfx #audiopost
I've been actually meaning to try Paketti for a longer while. I've seen (I assume) your video on reddit how Paketti interacts with Tracker+ and curious to try it. So many things to do, so little time! :D
I've moved a sizable chunk of my post production work (SFX sound design, library making, music pro) to linux and just documenting my journey :)
