The answer to both at the moment, unfortunately, is money. Cost of living is so high that I've had to take on more gig work, and that kind of short-term, unrelated employment isn't great for focus.

Did you have an art teacher that told you not to draw anime or cartoons? Were you told that there's nothing to learn, and it's even to your detriment, if you continued to draw like that? What if... what if we did it anyway?
