Light in sight.

Up to the top of the fell, overlooking the lake, across and down through the woods (without falling and breaking my leg 🙌🏻) to catch the steamer back…steamer not running, two hour wait for a bus…and a National Trust shelf of second hand books delivered this to while away the time ❤️✍️

How very lucky I am to have friends like who send me wonderful bookish gifts!

Love this vase and bookmark ❤️

And here’s me and said friend aged 14, taking a brief respite from Manics/Suede/Ash gigs to look presentable for a production of Little Women and me to give my ‘Jo’ 😊❤️ 📖

St Mary’s Island today. No causeway visible just a late afternoon glitter path to the lighthouse ⛅️ 🌊
A small island with low buildings and a tall white lighthouse in the late afternoon sun. Viewed from the shore as a wave crashes over the end of a walkway now going down only to the sea. Light from the late sun and lighthouse is reflecting a path of light from the end of the walkway to the lighthouse
