After 15ish years singing, found out I'm probably actually an Alto, even if I can hit a C6 when pressed. Way more comfortable in my lower range, and I don't need the melody crutch anymore. Might get through the holidays without vocal strain for once!
My partner thought he didn't like cats bc his family cats would always run and hide as a kid. Basic pointers when we got kittens and now our cats literally run up to him for cuddles every chance they get. Def a skill issue
Finally put a coat of paint stripper on the bricks somebody who doesn't know about spalling applied, pruned the somehow-still-going zucchini, and braced myself for the crushing reality that if I don't actually do my to-do list it will only get longer
Wondering if I'm still employable now that my youngest is almost in school. Then I giddily whip up a full workbook of cost analyses and business recs because a friend mentioned she's trying for an executive chef role and needed help prepping for her interview. Still a spreadsheet nerd 😅
"Oh, I'll just knit up some basic washcloths to make some extra cash! They're fast, and it will take less yarn!"

*Proceeds to spend more than an entire day on a single washcloth*

Glad I started with a color I like, cuz ain't no way it's selling for $100/piece 🙃

They still did not bring the right ladder 🤦‍♀️
One full sleeve satisfactorily connected to the cardigan, with another 3/4 done. Then it just needs a couple pockets, ribbing around the edges, and hopefully I have enough yarn for at least a little more length. 4ish balls left of the 10 I managed to snag in one dye lot
Good news it turned into a 3 day wait and I am now 35ish hours into this series
I have like 3 things left to do in Silksong and I just don't think I'm mentally ready to be done with this game
Why does my library have 40 copies of the first half of an audiobook and literally 1 of the second. No way I make it 26 week estimated wait on that cliffhanger
Struggling to pick a genre of halloween decoration now that we don't have HOA rules, until I saw a house with googly eyes everywhere. That is so on brand for us, it simply must happen
Needed a break from reality this week, so I got audiobooks from the library and finally downloaded Love and Deepspace. Cranked out 1/3 of a sweater I've been saving yarn for. Good week.
On this episode of I Bought an OLD House: told the contractor trying to help stop the exterior wood rot multiple times it's 3 stories. Had to reschedule today because they did not have a big enough ladder
Is it my best work? Absolutely not. But is it done? ABSOLUTELY!

And I only have like 3 extra screws from taking apart the cheap sewing machine half a dozen times
I was able to get the pockets sewn to the skirt panels and finish the sides of the panels, but something about the timing needs more attention before I can hem the bottom and put on the waistbands 🙃
Petition the universe on behalf of this one blob from the 3D Pen that I spun through the gears real quick and seems to be holding
I have had this machine for 4 hours
The alternating stripes on the top is such a nice attention to detail
I literally, at 30 years old, spent a year figuring out what needs even are and what mine might be. Shared it with my parents and siblings, and immediately got 'That's stupid' and "I just don't understand having needs". We hang out with people who like us now instead.
Muahahaha I am victorious
Hubris, the Prequel: What is a good beginner project if not a self-drafted split side circle skirt with ginormous pockets, sketched out in engineering software because I'm already paying it to do math for me
Oooh paper! That's a great idea!
