It began with a defiant, and now infamous, tweet from Badlands, because of Trump's intentional disregard for science. Soon after, the #AltNPS and #AltGov was formed, most standing in unity with Badlands.

But it does mean that they are setting different standards and goals.

If you want to crowd source science, do it.

If you want to become an advocacy group, do it.

And yes, sure I'd like to make more, who wouldn't? But I, and the core group of Alts, hold each other to a standard.

We can't control what anyone does or doesn't do, but we can control who we interact with, who we support, and so forth.
