The Outback's the newest one I've owned and I'm probably not going to have anything newer after it. I'm currently looking to replace it with a 95 straight line Jeep.

I get side eyes every time I say it but my best car was my 95 dealer's special Beretta. It was basically the z26 minus the badging.

I think my brother has that same year F250. Engine grenaded last year so it's been sitting in the carport ever since. He's talking about doing one of those Edison conversions to it at some point assuming they ever get those working.

I fucking hate that narrative so much. I got absolutely sick of it when Clinton was running. I don't care if my candidate is likable I want to know they're competent. I'm electing a representative not looking for a new girlfriend.

The only vehicle I hated more was my 01 Grand Am. Full disclosure I had 2. I loved my first one but probably because I owned it less than 18mths before it was totaled by a deer. It was the 2nd one that made me hate them.

I am firmly of the opinion no one should be allowed to design a car they have not had to repair themselves. I used to have an HHR. There was a bullshit plastic "oh my God my engine is ugly what can I put on it to cover it" housing I used as a skipping stone because its mere existence pissed me off.

I was talking to a mechanic at a dealership last year who said basically the same thing but it had less to do with being able to repair it and more to do with the fact that the current engineer mindset is to make everything a cascading failure.

I'm driving a 20-year-old Subaru Outback with a quarter million miles on it.

I grew up a Chevy kid but I'm not married and never had kids so most of the current Chevy lineup doesn't appeal to me and I can't afford the Chevys that do anymore.

This and is in conjunction with the fact that, with a few exceptions, no one makes actual cars anymore. Everything is some bloated mom-mobile crossover or hatchback.

Honestly other than a Corvette and various euro hypercars, I can't think of a single two-door car that is still on the market.

We'd have been in a much better position if he had been seated. If he gets SCOTUS we don't get Gorsuch. Garland would've caused an ideological balance between Roberts that causes Kavanaugh to wobble. Additionally Dobbs might not have made the docket. They "reviewed" that shit case for years.

They are doing this because they are getting away with it. And they will continue to get away with it because if any of them get arrested Trump is going to pardon them. Literally the only way these guys stop is if we treat them how we would treat anybody else who did this. We fought a war over this.

So if it's the same story I heard about earlier, this particular case was a United States citizen that they claimed was being violent yet they released him hours later without charging him. It is my understanding they just released him so he took his kids and went home. I hope he's got a lawyer.

Cuomo is an asshole who never should have run however you are deliberately willfully ignoring the fact that the majority of voters are not that well informed & tend to go with what they know. If anything that Cuomo got as many votes as he did says more about the electorate than it does about Mamdani

Whether you like him or not Cuomo is still recognized as a Democrat so he beat a fellow Dem (who split the vote) in a heavy Dem city by 8 pts.

Against someone with a known legislative history & astronomically high name recognition.
