Seems to me that it's a simple pattern: Fascists are elected promising change and destroy the country, then progressives are elected and spend their mandate ignoring the population and trying to please fascists, the population then elect the fascists again because they want change...

My instinct is to assume that Jasmine Crockette and Graham Platner have as much hope of winning a seat in the Senate as the Jets or Cowboys have of getting to the Superbowl, but if there was ever a social environment in which they could eke out a shock victory it is America in the 2020s.
