Your average everybody memorized maybe 3 phone numbers. Beyond that you'd have them written down.

This isn't a "wow im old" you just had a lot less things to know/remember back then

I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

Tl;dr I used to really hate my voice, but ever since Alpha its been less of a thing and a lot of people these days tell me my voice is very andro and slightly femme sometimes so I haven't felt as bad about it or felt I wanted to push for voice training or anything

Player names might be one of my favorite parts of playing on an FFXI private server.

Its a BUSY private server, but because it is one, it means all the good dumb names that make you laugh aren't taken and hidden away, they're players running around the world
