When I was a kid we often went through periods of being skint, my mother tried to cook tripe once and I remember the pan being thrown out of the kitchen window because she couldn't stand the smell.

I use a pie plate, not a deep pie dish. Lakeland do them but I've mostly just bought them from charity shops

I always look for them and sewing patterns in charity shops. I agree about patterns online, some of them are so badly written.

I pulled out my knitting, I just wasn't enjoying it plus the choice of yarn made it very hard to see if I'd got the pattern right and I suspect I hadn't. My concentration has left the building, now looking for a new project #SkyKnits #Knitting #Yarn #KnittersOfBlueSky

Are Labour really going to try and tie current economic damage (and hence the need for further tax rises) to Farage and to Brexit, whilst at the same time insisting that persevering with Brexit is the right thing to do?

That feels like gaslighting of the very highest order.
