Are there any used games stores worth anything anymore? I feel like they all use basic internet resources to set their prices to the maximum they can get. There are no more deals to be found, so the inconvenience isn't worth the visit

I think there's a certain type of person who only likes things that will never reach a level of visibility to ever be criticized. Which is fine. It's nice enjoying things when you're not being told they're bad. But too often they then carry contempt for anything that a large amount of people enjoy.

The frustrating thing about E33 is that it's treated like the best rpg in decades, and it is very good, but I think it's fair to say that half the games Falcom has put out in the last decade are as good or better than it

I really think that the ceiling for a pumpkin pie is 6/10, unless it is really good, then it's absolutely 10/10

Christmas, Valentines Day, and Halloween have more or less been decoupled from their eponymous sources by the majority of people who celebrate them. It's weird to me that "Day of Generally Being Thankful for Stuff" would be intrinsically tied to it's shitty history. Anyway, pie good.

Metroid Prime 3 is pretty bad, but it has pew-pewing and scanning everything so it's good. Anyways, looking forward to Prime 4 regardless of anything as long as it has those two things

Final Fantasy has two types of character: Teenager with big emotions (doesn't actually need to be a teenager) and person who's just trying to live their life in a crumbling world. The better characters are the ones just trying to live their lives but they tend to get ignored

One of the (many) reasons Ys is great is because Adol is naïve and kind and people generally aren't weird jerks about it.

My hot take from yesterday is that I really don't care whether a person says they have played a game as long as they use precise language when discussing it. Go ahead, have an opinion about that game you saw 5 minutes of on Twitch, but just, like, disclose that fact

Socialism may be a scary word, but all it has ever meant was using the government for the common good. So when half the House Democrats vote in opposition to it, I honestly don't know what they're supposed to stand for. Good on that other half I guess?

Ys 8, Ikaruga, and KoF XIII are the three games that whenever I here people hating on them I'm absolutely baffled. Like, you can love Ys Origins, Battle Garegga, and Kof '98 without having to hate something you consider worse.
