Boz Scaggs "Lowdown" is a perfect song. Amazing Jeff Porcaro on drums. His 16th note overdubs are sublime. Of the bazillion songs he drummed on in the 70s and 80s this is my favorite performance

I don’t like agreeing to plans too far ahead because I can’t predict how I’ll feel on that day. At the same time, I don’t like last-minute plans either, as it’s too short notice. Anyone relate?

I was today years old when I found out Bob Odenkirk was the writer of the SNL skit about a guy "living in a van down by the river!" One of my all time faves.
But then it made me sad because the late Phil Hartman is also in the skit. He died by his wife's hand in a murder / suicide 😢

Getting older is very strange. This morning I turned the knob for the shower and out of nowhere had a memory of being 7ish doing the same thing. I rmbr being a kid in the 70s and the interstitial years up to now but still can't believe I'm 55. Wtf

Supposedly at 4pm ET there will be a House vote about releasing the Epstein files. Everything will be redacted, right? Kind of like how the Mueller report was pages of blacked out paragraphs. We don't seriously expect to learn anything substantial from this, do we?

Had a cataracts evaluation yesterday. I'm surprised that each eye requires so many appts. You have to get a physical first. Various post op appts. And have to coordinate with my optometrist because I won't be able to wear current glasses if 1 eye has been fixed. So maybe a temp contact lens?

I've worn glasses since 1979 when I was 9. Contacts at 15. So decades of bad vision. Even in my 20s I never saw well at night.
Saw eye doc today for yearly exam. My RX is worse than ever, and he says I have cataracts 😮 I'm 55 so fairly young to have this issue.
