Saturday I taught a class making quilted ornaments at the Burr House in Richmond Hill. They are fun to make and look so elegant. I like learning new patterns and especially learned a lot from The Ornament Girl. I took her advanced ornaments in to show the class. #craftsky #ornaments #quilting

When a fav fandom meets a fav craft. Early in September I found a Star Trek inspired (see the colours of the three original uniforms?) tartan pattern online and I was inspired to weave hand towels. #weaving #startrek #rigidheddleloom #tartan

I taught a friend yesterday how to do a log cabin weave on her rigid heddle loom. Pleased with how it’s turning out. Interesting teaching all the steps. She’s making a four foot table runner with 4/8 cotton. #craftsky #weaving #weavinglogcabin #rigidheddleloom

Continuing to crochet poppies for Legion 101 in Etobicoke in Toronto, who are celebrating their 70th anniversary this year. They are putting up a special art project in November for Remembrance Day with thousands of crocheted poppies. I’ve crocheted about fifty so far. #craftsky #crochet #poppies

Another modified gamp pattern from the Penny Candy Gamp Scarf by Sara Bixler. Also my first time using a 15 ct. heddle. This #3 crochet cotton works pretty well, but I need to try other thin yarns. #craftsky #weaving #rigidheddleloom
