I'd always say you can always look up online the convergence. I however try to use the ratio first (in inches) and multiply if i need a bigger canvas.

However I always keep my canvas as 300 DPI (that one shouldn't change regardless of canvas size, but you can always adjust in the beginning)

Heres a nice list of page dimensions for you to setup your documents to. I have a scan of an 11x17 Bristol board that I draw on for my comic pages, but this is basically good numbers to follow. You can draw in your safety, and extend to the page and your bleed can at 0.25 inches is what will be cut

Some say it's the favor of gods, others say it's sheer luck, but all are defined by their tales of legend.

So far we have War, Vengeance, Joy and Sloth.
