I am at loss for words for how inhumane u have been treated. Not sure what I feel more, the anger about the neglect and "stop bothering us" mentality of the staff, or the despair imagining that you had to basically beg on your knees for someone treating you correctly.

And if you are an artist who struggles to see their work as smt of value to society, which it is, let me tell you this:

Just because it brings you joy, doesn't make it less of a labour.

And also, the appreciation & sense of connection I get by my community & friends, help a ton.

It does not need to be much, not a novel and not sky-high praises.

But a single friendly comment might make the difference on a day, where the smallest diff is decisive.

Art gives me to opt to prioritize my health over, especially on days when my Depr derails & spirals out of control. After the loss of my grandpa it got worse (which I assume is the grieving reaction as booster to the root Depr).

No job on which people rely on me as coworker, would work.

And so my plans for certain art projects, coms and other things started to weigh me down to a degree.

But here also comes the important point.

No other job would have given me the room to schedule in naps, off time, walkies and all sort of things IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY.

I somehow got into the vortex of everything being now processed by my nerve system which leads me always to have nightmare'ish dreams, waking up exhausted, and that somehow spirals downwards. I did not really get the time to work through all the things that happened in spring and summer, tbh.

Besides those things, I got derailed by a phenomenon that some of my fellow neurodivergent people might know about.

'Delayed emotional response' and the good ol' mighty "first" 'winter depression' wave, when the sun from summer gets locked out by falls' first wave of gray clouds.

In October I had scheduled a large artwork for one of my commissioners, who runs a Halloween campaign each year - & I had the great honor to design *the* end boss for the campaign that has now span over multiple Halloweens.

So, we had a deadline.
And I had ambitions.
And a cold.
And stress.

Thank you Kelpie! Glad you like it as much ♥ and yes, it was roughly 25~30ish hours, going back & forth, re-designing and re-working areas until they were exactly what I wanted. Overall a huge piece :'D But I am glad I finished it. Now just need to wait for my Coms player group to encounter her!
