We did get to tour Lyndhurst / Sunnyside and saw the live Headless Horseman performance on the property. The Sleepy Hollow cemetery tour was also a highlight. I’ll have to visit Hudson Farmer & Fish on a return trip.
I try to talk everyone into going. My only complaint was that you have to have a car. No side walks and questionable cell signal.
Visiting Sleepy Hollow in October made me want to move there.
Here's a lovely piece about a town that's still very special to me--Sleepy Hollow--and how they've leaned into All Things Halloween with warmth rather than kitsch. (And if you ever have a chance to attend their Pumpkin Blaze, by all means DO SO.)

Wild how badly they fumbled this franchise. They pulled off the seemingly impossible. They got me, not just onboard, but excited for these movies after the death of Wes. And then lost basically everyone that made it exciting.

As a kid, I didn’t know ANYONE who had even heard of the movie, so finding out there were actually a lot of fans online later in life has been a joy.
It’s a movie that opens with the entire cast singing “This is Halloween”. Then they get distracted by Christmas for a good while, but it ends with them realizing why they loved Halloween so much originally. Pretty easy to make an argument for both holidays.

I was promised this was a Howl-A-Long screening. 🐺🌕
