Past few weeks I've began actively trying to combat slop social media feeds. I've noticed:

-Following tab is way more peaceful than For You
-Instagram is purely Ads these days
-Youtube algo is screwed
-Most news is news not worth knowing
-Anger is the driving force of engagement

One thing I wish Mario Kart would do is what Crash Nitro Fueled did in regards to stats.

Make the character + kart purely cosmetic, then the player picks whatever optimal "engine". Every race being filled with 20 baby bloopers is dull.

Started tinkering with a few synths to make menu SFX and I'm convinced Sound people are wizards.

"Yeah just set the wibbly wobbly line and turn up the skidoodle modulator with a dash of reverb and boom its the cancel sound from Silent Hill 2"

According to a recent social media post by Marc Laidlaw, Viktor Antonov - Half-Life 2's visionary art director - has passed away.

Assuming this is true, we are extremely saddened to hear this news.
