A small black insect, which I assume is some sort of bee that I don't recognise, makes its approach to a comparatively massive flower. The flower in question I think might be Hypericum, aka St. John's Wort. We're well into November now so it's good to remember back to those heady summer days. Here the lush forest greens jump out against a blue sky in summer in the beautiful Volkspark Wuhlheide, which happens to be a short 20 minute cycle from our apartment. Gotta love how green this city is (in summer that is, winter is a different story...). Buy Print

I just love how many times wildlife just pops up and surprises me. I'd never even heard of this bird until i saw it, and it was a real delight to watch it hop around on the ground in search of a tasty morsel. It eventually found some sort of snail and hopped off merrily. It wasn't so easy to photography though as it was in the shade and was moving pretty rapidly and constantly - I was just happy to get any sort of usable photo, such a beauty. Buy Print

Grigory played a fantastic A/V set at BYOB in Kühlhaus in Berlin a few months back. Stunning visuals pulsated across three 10-metre tall screens. Wonderful stuff.

A dancer taking part in Berlin's annual Carnival of Cultures is fully focused on their dance. I doff my hat to these performers, the parade route is lengthy and moves slowly. It must require a huge amount of energy to keep going for the whole route.

Much like our lives these water droplets careen around the place crossing paths with each other pretty randomly, joining together, influencing each others future movements, and generally being pretty unpredictable. Buy Print

Usually I save my flower photos for Fridays, but every time I looked at this it felt more like an abstract photo than a flower photo. There are just so many little flowers that it becomes more about the pattern and texture. I'm not entirely sure what this is, perhaps some form of blackthorn, or else a type of cherry blossom? A long 3 storey abandoned building peeks out from behind the trees that surround Funkhaus Berlin, an old radio station which now serves as a music venue. However, what the purpose of this building hiding beside it was, I am none the wiser. It's located at Nalepastraße 52. Inside a large tropical house at Tierpark Berlin I spotted the critically endangered Gharial, a species of crocodilian of which I was not familiar. Absolutely fascinating textures and colours in their scaly skin. They originate from the northern Indian subcontinent, and I hope the captives like this are able to help with increasing their numbers in the wild. Buy Print

The wonderful surroundings of Galilaäkirche in Berlin's Samariterkiez played host to the AL.Ehtifal Project, who were brought over by the wonderful Thomas Herbst of Karl Records and Zehra. As luck would have it, we're only a short walk from this great little venue, and it certainly entices as a place to perform at some day!

The bull costume is great, but I think what I really love is the tilt of the head towards the guy, and the expression of the guy. It's like he and the bull are sharing a private joke or something 😊 Gotta love Berlin's Carnival of Cultures.
