Ledgerbound was probably my favorite demo but Opus Prism Peak is the biggest surprise and I could be a special experience.
Final Fantasy Tactics is a great game that I just cannot get into and I am wrong for it.
Opus Prism Peak could be special game. A labor of love, and a tragic but beautiful story and could easily be peoples GOTY. Its seems to be a Isakai Photo Mode puzzle game which perfectly suits the story and themes they are setting up. I am immensely excited to cry like a baby when this releases.
OPUS: Prism Peak on Steam
OPUS: Prism Peak is a narrative adventure where you play as a weary photographer stranded in the Dusklands, traveling with a girl who's lost her memories. Together, you'll uncover the mysteries of thi...

You want to be a fantasy insurance adjuster and a tactics RPG hero. No? Same. That’s until I played Ledgerbound. All the characters are just so fun and the writing gets the joke, the combat is solid and the relationships that you can build seem to range from comedic friendships to gay if you want.

The world may end, but more importantly: your job is on the line. Step onto the battlefield, befriend (and fall in love with) a ragtag crew of heroes, and go head-to-head against an immortal foe to pr...

Steam Next Fest is almost over and there are two games I wanna talk about. Honorable Mention to Dissimilar a mystery tactics RPG, Tearscape a NES Bloodborne, and Subversive Memories Alan Wake meets Resident evil. All were fun but the next two could be special.
Blue Prince is finally off the list and I'm happy I think that game is a lesson in locking lore and content behind effectively impossible actions to do solo and in a way that respects your time. If the game actually ended at 46 it would be high on the list but it really doesn't.
Keeper and Yotei break in and Blue Prince and Roottrees fall out. Keeper reminds me of a Oscar winning short film, its does what is does intentional and beautifully with its faults in some way add to the experience. Yotei is sitting slightly better with me over time, but I really wanted more from SP

Visually and musically this is a perfect short experience that is kind of reminds me of some of the best short films you will ever see. Sadly, I can't give it a perfect score but ignore all the scores you see and just experience it, in this world you deserve just to experience something special 9/10
If there are some "problems" with the game is that act one purposeful movement starts to get tiresome by the every end of the act, and act 3 movement is very fun but in some areas the camera fights you. But even then this is a tailored experience and they want you feel something about the light.
Keeper is a special game, it truly exemplifies what we mean when we call game art. Lee Petty should be recognized real artist in the game space. Its the kind of game you feel bad giving a rating because no matter what rating you give it as a game its score is separate from the beauty you experience.
I just want to say Persona 6 (the green game) will be announce in the next 3 months and will release in the first half of 2026 (bonus points for March 13th because the games themes with be something around fear [see also Plutchik's color wheel])

If you want a Non explicit fantasy BG3 than Norse: Oath of Blood seems like it could be decent, but man the VO quality is one of the worst i've ever seen. Not even in performance but it sounds like the cast is talking into tin cans.
Dispatch devs AdHoc and Critical Role have a partnership so this probably isn't a campaign 4 thing, but a reviewing [REDACTED]
Finally started final fantasy tactics, which is the only final fantasy game I haven't tried. Man the story goes hard, but I just don't completely vibe with these games with five hundred random npc party members
I guess it just takes a few days for the wide steam user base to weed out the things that aren't ready/bad because today has been very good.
Day one of Steam Next Fest is pretty mid imo.
If lost judgements back half was condensed into 2 chapters instead of 5 it would easily be an A tier, but after *spoilers* the crew basically knows everything and they take 5 years to do anything for no reason other than padding.
Objectively correct Yakuza Tier list. Games within tiers are not ordered.
After finishing the second book and being a little disappointed, this book feels so much better over time. Still think stronger editing would be better for both books but this one is really good.
Just finished Fourth Wing, and while I didn't love all the romance (especially in the first half where its the same three lines over and over again), there is great worldbuilding with a very modern language that makes it really unique from most fantasy.
Dissimilar is another interesting game that I think could be really cool if the story holds up. Its an interesting premise but cleaner UI and a run button is needed.
After a mid first day of Steam Next Fest, the Ledgerbound demo is an instant wishlist and could be an all time great indie RPG.
This is totally subjective but a lot more games recommended and early pages are kind of half baked and not in a good spot compared to last fest. I wonder if last one was too good and indie devs are forcing their games early. Even games I knew about before feel off, i.e. Relooted was pretty meh imo.
Day one of Steam Next Fest is pretty mid imo.
While I love the concept of Relooted and the actual heists have potential, the writing in the Demo is pretty rough. I'd honest just rewrite most of it from scratch its that bad. Like the choices and responses in the hideout section is actually nonsensical and frankly some bad VO doesn't help.
