I do think 2025 is a wash for #yr this year even with stunting casting. We might get a few acting nominations but the material was paltry at best. I can’t remember a story that stood out as Daytime Emmy nom worthy.

Sharon’s story is a sore spot for me. We never got a clear explanation as to who killed Heather. It was mentioned by Jordan that Ian did it but did he? But the biggest annoyance is the insertion of loud mouth Phyllis on high adrenaline for many episodes. #yr

It’s not even about the sets, the biggest problem are the stories. And these casting stunts aren’t even working anymore because the stories seemingly do not have any build up or end point. #yr

Not to diminish the talent, but a stacked ensemble cast alone cannot fix lousy storytelling. The writers are capable of giving us good scripts for episodes. But our grievances are the stories, or lack thereof, onscreen. The burden is on the headwriter, Josh Griffith. #yr

#yr Why does Josh Griffith feel the need to insert characters in stories when it doesn’t concern them. I get Claire’s in LA and is Noah’s cousin but she has never met him. There are others that could be here for Nick and Sharon instead. Ones that haven’t had much screen time.

#yr US Monday: Phyllis constantly inserted in stories and acting like a loose cannon is getting old. She has shown no growth and is a loser begging for scraps. Her childish behavior after crashing Christine’s party as an uninvited guest and a loud mouth is not interesting at all.

I cannot stress this enough, I do not want #yr cancelled. It has the bones of a good soap and a good crew running it but at the end of the day, the headwriter responsible for the storytelling needs to change. A piss poor budget does not absolve bare minimum stories.
