I believe strongly anymore that it is the responsibility of every denizen of the Internet to keep it cool, human, and to make it weird wherever possible. The past days of the computer being cool might be behind us, but that doesn't mean that we can't carve out cool niches today, imo

Definitely one of the most aggravating things someone can do is make me guess their emotions and beg me to drag something out of them that they're obviously raring to talk about. I clock it quick but I resent it. Use your finely evolved communication skills

The latest Cloudflare and Amazon outages have got me thinking about utilities. We can't build modern software without dependencies. The days of running entirely on the client are over, which I see as a good thing. The cost is that we rely on infrastructure.
