The original Spacewing War's color palette system is based entirely on a very small memory leak, in which I call for the color palette shader to turn on, but do not turn it off. In result, the entire game was affected by it. This is still in the game.

With the arrival of the Game Awards part of the year, I always think about the meaning of the term "indie". Of course games like Silksong and Deltarune are still indie, but putting them against other way minor games in a awards ceremony feels... strange.

Super Mario World has an extremely eclectic art style whereby many enemies are drawn in completely different ways. Development files reveal Mario went through many stylistic changes; it is possible that all the enemies were made to fit Mario, but at different points in time.
