Hate has no place in London.

Now more than ever, we must unite to build stronger, kinder communities. My London – the London I’ll keep standing up for – is a city where diversity is a strength to be celebrated, not a weakness to be hidden.
All beliefs are welcome in London – we cannot allow extremists to divide us | Sadiq Khan
Attacks against Jewish and Muslim communities are on the rise, and some politicians are exacerbating tensions by appealing to our worst instincts, says London mayor Sadiq Khan

"Why is the UK increasing defence spending?"

The Ministry of Defence has put out a short video explaining in detail why defence budgets are increasing, placing it in a global and historic context.

It's a 3min long but it's a good, clear and thorough explanation.

Thank you, President Biden, for your relentless dedication to bringing hostages home safely. Your courage, persistence, and care for families in distress remind us of the power of leadership guided by compassion. True heroes in action."

Just maybe they need to reflect on how they just throw policy announcements out and expect them to land properly with no pitch rolling or sufficient detail that allows all the scaremongering and misinformation. I thought she might have got that after welfare debacle.

As so often, @laylamoran.bsky.social finds gracious, unifying words.

"I choose to believe that peace is possible. Everyone who went on a protest, wrote to their MP, cares about it, shouted at their TV - from whatever point of view - what were those deaths for, if not for a sustainable peace?" ~AA

Maybe they can get away with saying more about it in HoC with parliamentary privilege rather than risk lawsuits. I’d be surprised if they haven’t had lawyers all over it during conference recess
