Building an Effective Message for Progressives in Alabama
Calling Muslim children a ‘cult’ isn’t strength.

Strong leaders protect kids.
Weak ones target them.

Alabama students are strong.
Our young people are strong.
A confident university doesn’t shutter their voices, it listens to them.

Silencing women and Black students doesn’t make campus safer.
It makes it smaller, weaker, and more afraid of its own future.

Trump’s vision isn’t strong.
It’s isolationist, fearful, and small.
Strong nations lead.
Weak nations hide.

Mike Rogers chairs the committee responsible for Pentagon oversight. If his job is to keep our troops safe, brushing off risky behavior because it came from his political allies isn’t leadership.

Alabama deserves better than ‘it didn’t blow up this time, so it’s fine.'

When Alabama politicians say they want to ‘take race out of redistricting,’ what they’re really talking about is taking Black representation out of Congress.

Prices climb.
Family budgets break.
Republicans call it “policy.”

The day after Thanksgiving is the right day to say this. Our grocery bills didn’t magically jump on their own. Trump’s policies did that.
❗ Tariffs → higher prices on fruit & veggies
❗ Fewer bird-flu experts → turkey prices up 40%
❗ Monopoly rollbacks → sides & staples cost more

We remember those taken by violence and we name the truth behind that violence:
a political movement determined to erase transgender people from public life.

A federal judge just ordered Alabama to use a fairer map in the Montgomery area for the 2026 Senate race.
Translation: the state can’t rig the lines however it pleases.
It’s one more reminder that courts, not our politicians, are the ones protecting voters.

Alabama will move heaven and earth to protect a football program’s win record.

But fans passing out in the stands?
Dozens of heat calls a game?
Concrete at 130°?

We get cooling stations and a “hydrate” reminder.
Game times and TV money stay untouched.

Fairhope voters rejected the censorship slate this summer.
The state went around them and took $20K from the library.

Local control is only sacred until a community uses it.

Eight Dems joined Republicans to drop ACA subsidies from the bill.

It’s a short-term fix with long-term pain.

Power and poverty.
In the poorest state in America, families pay the highest residential electric bills and haven’t had a public hearing on rates in 43 years.
That’s not oversight. That’s captivity.
