Please put something up in Montana
"Precariously Perched" on the tip of a cattail. A red-winged blackbird grips as the wind swirls it in turbulent currents. Is this what the boat we are on feels like? This perch could snap at any minute and yet here I ride, ready to leap if necessary but remaining calm and watchful at the moment.
I painted this in solidarity with our beloved immigrants, MMIW and workers. It went on an art installation in conjunction with NK2 in Billings and was promptly torn down by someone who also chose to strip our installation of most of the lovely art contributed to our community collection. #NK2 #art
Is there a graceful way? Sounds like a primally terrifying experience.
Those are not the breasts of a grown woman
Yeah don't be fooled by their dopey, folksy demeanors. It was always a scam.
This is true. And internationally we have taken down more democracies than we have saved.
It was a newsworthy response! You are a champion for the cause!
Many thanks to Beth at Confetti Heart Studio in downtown Billings for hosting our protest art! Send me art by posting and adding #SaveTheYAM and I will add it to our community murals here and the one heading for the courthouse lawn soon.
Help! Our art museum loses funding for THIS FISCAL YEAR that started in July if we don't take action NOW!
Thanks to the Billings Gazette for this merit badge highlighting my public comments. I said some spicy things, apparently. I called out their hypocrisy and signaling their loyalty to the fascist regime by killing the premier arts institution for our state. Now we are trying to #savetheyam by Tuesday
I love this! Thank you for contributing! Is there a name you would like me to add to credit your work in the community mural?
EMERGENCY CALL FOR ART: Yellowstone County Commissioners are defunding the Yellowstone Art Museum, in Billings, MT and we have 1 WEEK to fight back their illegal budget resolution. My ask is simple. Make a quick bad art to protest. Please share. #savetheYAM www.artmuseum.org/act-now/

I'm down at SLAM Festival in Bozeman, MT slinging paintings and leather bracelets while listening to some kick ass music. Life is good. Join me if you wish... today until 8 and tomorrow 10 to 5

I have been getting ready and the time is near! Here is a little 4"x 4" snail called Sass going with me to the Gresham Arts Festival
Sometimes, the most spontaneously exquisite moments of my art career happen in the mixing of the paint. Our lives are a like a process: a string of snippets to enjoy. I am choosing not to obsess about the future results and instead, crawling inside the creamy colors as they fold together.
Where I live, things are greening up and coming to life. Kind of like the vibes you get here: Swamp Music 10" x 10" mixed media on canvas

Thanks for appreciating!
It is, of course, tempting to relocate, but this is a disease that we can not simply escape from. We must resist and take back our communities, or it will be knocking on Colorado's door in short order. Eastern Oregon and Washington are the same, I know because I have recently lived there too.
A peek at "In Plain Sight" 48" x 36" oil on canvas. Rabbits, sphinx moths, and flowers. Creatures who hide in plain sight with absolute stillness. A sphinx moth appears like a brown crumpled leaf when they hide the panels of vibrant pink on their wings.
Please come to Montana! Our state went from purple to red the last few election cycles and people who are against this madness are afraid to speak up. I hear we have the highest number of hate groups per capita of any state. Please help us unite our small pockets of resistance and give them hope!
