Yeaaah, it's honestly a bummer we rarely see new franchises take off. They keep inserting ones we grew up with, and when one pops off like owl house, disney snuffs it. And Disney pretty much has a monopoly on all media at this point, so whatever they make is what we get.

Also, the prison sucked because of ceiling crawlers, I just started dark souls speed running through areas at that point because combat was exhausting (This is the remake btw)

Right, like in Phasmo, when we get a hyper-aggressive ghost, it's honestly not so fun, because everyone's dead and we can't gather evidence. Just mark it demon or onryo and run.

Heck, even silent hill 2 wasn't very good scare-wise. There was good ambience and exploration of creepy places, but like... it made me groan to go into a place to see a mannequin just sitting there, knowing it's going to get a cheap attack on me. It felt more oppressive than scary.

Yeah, Indigo Park's first part was basically a demo of the game/feel/ect, they said that a few times. I ain't gonna knock it, but if the 2nd chapter's more of the same, like, no items, puzzles, and trial/error chases, I'm gonna tap out.

If you want to make a good horror game, make it about ambience. Heck I was scared going into McD's Vrchat map the other day, because it's like....dim/dark lights, eerie music. You open the door to the manager's office, and there's Ronald with his back turned. I immediately nope'd out. Thats scary.

But nope "jump scare!" If you can even call them that. It's more "ohh monster's gonna getcha, better ruuun" and the chase sequences honestly aren't scaring, but more annoying trial and error segments I wish they'd cut out.

I don't understand a lot of modern horror games these days. It's been horribly influenced by FNAF, where it's like "You did ANYTHING WRONG? JUMPSCARE!!" Where that wrong is trying to figure out and or absorb your surroundings. Like heaven forbid I stop in the walking sim horror game to look around.

Yeaaah, it was winter and I sicc'd my colony to hunt some critters for food since we didn't grow enough. One poked the megasloth accidentally while chasing them, and then it was game over

Picked up rimworld and have a botanist who's been starving and breaking from not being able to grow alcohol. They throw an absolute tantrum every day, wander out to a field and pass out.
