Congratulations to AIML researcher Dr Marcus Märtens on his appointment as Associate Professor at the Kasai Laboratory, Institute of Science Tokyo, starting December 2025. He will continue advancing AI for space, including pose estimation, spacecraft autonomy and space domain awareness.

AIML members were delighted to host and engage with participants of CSIRO's Young Future Shapers program on 1 October.

The program prioritises young people in years 5 - 10 and builds their confidence and connection to STEM. After visiting AIML, the students stayed overnight at the Adelaide Zoo.
This week, AIML officially launched a new product designed to support businesses across Australia interested in incorporating AI into their operations.

The tool is called the AI Roadmap Generator, part of the Industrial AI program.

On 22 September, AIML was honoured to welcome Tokuro Furuya, Consul-General of Japan in Melbourne, and Adam Wynn, Consul-General of Japan in Adelaide, for a tour of AIML. The visit was part of a broader Tonsley Innovation District and Lot Fourteen tour to introduce SAs thriving innovation ecosystem.
