2025 will be a buddy comedy starring Canada, Greenland, Mexico, and Panama.
lol. But Jesus can carry the people parking near you if they just park a little further.
Or just file criminal charges.
Yup. And it’s now criminal trespassing and not just civil because they’ve had contractors and deliveries continue to do it after my friends told them it as forbidden without prior consent. Like they could get an injunction and every incident after would be jail time and fines.
Since the only other option is they grade and pave the driveway for the other house first so they have a place to park to unload. Which they don’t want to do since they’re using that space to stage and store things. But that’s not my friends issue. lol.
This isn’t even happening on the shared part. It’s happening once it widens into my friends full drive way since their part is paved and the side for the new house was never paved. So it’s basically 100% on their property. The crew just feel entitled to its use.
Yes lol. Tho I think they are having a “don’t mistake my kindness for weakness moment. Lol. I have never heard them so pissed. I don’t know what to suggest? Criminal charges? An injunction? Signs? I have never had to deal with stuff like this. So I’m crowdsourcing it for them. lol.
It’s kind of like your neighbour using your driveway because they haven’t built one yet and the excuse is that they share a road so it’s okay.
And they are maybe kinder than me since they are fine with them using it as much as needed… as long as they give notice of that use.
Yes tho this is all happening on the part after the shared driveway. The part where what’s currently paved is 100% my friend’s. Since the other lot hasn’t paved their parcel and has no extra driveway than what was put in to service the friends lot, this is just my friends land.

My friend has a house with a shared driveway with a neighboring lot. They each own half the driveway. The neighboring lot is being built on and the crew keep parking on their part of the driveway blocking them in their home while they need to go to work.

What would you do?
The er doctor has said that multiple times. It got better then it continued and the builder told him he’s been trying to ‘accommodate’ him. Lol. That got me. Like who do you think owns this land. Who is accommodating who??
The neighbours and the crew have a legal right to drive over the driveway due to an easement. They don’t have a legal right to stop or park tho. But The driveway at the start is 50% their property. Then it opens up and the paved portion left is primarily my friends
I think you need the police to validate the trespassing before you can tow but I’ll tell them to call a local tow company.
The 15 mins is the issue. That could really fuck up the ER doctors schedule if someone is suddenly loading for 15 mins and he leaves for work 15 mins late. The explicit agreement is they’re notified of any loading that blocks their access.
The builder to include 24 hour unloading notice in his contracts with all subcontractors. And explain the parking situation and get them to sign that in writing. The builder has previously blamed trades people who don’t work for him.
So they’ve asked the neighbors multiple times and it improved but still continues sometimes. There seems to be an amicable relationship there and my friends think they’re doing everything they can, I guess? The workers and people parking there change. I was going to suggest they ask
What if it’s unlikely the police will show up in time or send a tow truck in time to tow them before they leave since sometimes it’s just for 10-20 mins.
Often it’s just to unload but it can take 10-20 mins & sometimes is when my friends need to leave. One is a doctor working in an ER. he can’t be late for his shift even by a few minutes. They have told the crew they can use their property to unload with notice. But they don’t give it all the time.
There’s a legal agreement (an easement) that allows both owners and guests to pass over the shared property but they can’t park in it or store items. So what’s happening is legally trespassing. How would you address it though?

I don’t do complete refinishing but I’ve gotten pretty good at fixing scratches and returning the luster to wood. The good news is these pieces aren’t too banged up and won’t need sanding.
I’m so glad my partner gets excited about butler wood too! Because who wants boring furniture??
My mom’s bedroom set was burled walnut growing up but in a very restrained 70s/80s minimalist design and I remember thinking, the wood is nice, the design is blah? How could anyone do that to burled wood?

Art deco is the exact right period for it. Waterfall? Angles and curves? Yes!!
Art deco burled walnut. The only time of furniture that makes me want to yell DAMN when I see it. I get it.
