How can there be "none of the above"?! It has to be one of those options! What other options are there?
IF THERE WERE OPTIONS OTHER THAN STATEHOOD, THEN THERE WAS AN ABILITY TO VOTE NO TO STATEHOOD.
This was bound to happen at some point. Nazis and white nationalists deified Trump, gravitated to him, and were emboldened by him. The Republican Party coyly courted their votes and looked the other way as they literally waved their flags and chanted their Nazi slogans. And now, they want to lead.
I hate to be that guy, but @repilhan.bsky.social is the Democrat equivalent of Nick Fuentes. I would be hard-pressed to determine which of them hates Jews more. #sorrynotsorry
2016 Republicans: "You can't just call us Nazis because you dislike us!"

2025 Republicans: "You can't dislike someone just because he's a Nazi!"
This is, unfortunately, how Trumpism works. Everything Trump does is excusable, no matter what it is. There is always a "good reason". There is always a "defense". And of course, it is always the Democrats' fault somehow. Unfortunately, #NickFuentes is showing us what has happened to the GOP.
The people on the right getting mad at Tucker Carlson for hosting Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes on his podcast don’t seem to have gotten mad at all at Donald Trump for hosting Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes at his home for dinner. Funny that.
"...if you don't have the option to vote no..."

They had the option to vote no. Saying otherwise doesn't make it so.
So how did so many people vote no if there was no way of voting no? You are babbling nonsense.
I had some choice words for #MikeLee on that other social media platform.
You are counting the votes of people who did not vote as if they had voted. That is fundamentally dishonest and negates anything else you have to say on the matter. You do not know their reasons for not voting. You cannot read their minds. And yes, DC is a special region. That's what "DC" means.
he landmark decision Citizens United v. FEC still fuels dark-money dominance in both Republicans’ and Democrats’ campaigns. campaignlegal.org/update/how-d... If big money keeps drowning out small voices, whose democracy is this? Tag someone whose voice is being drowned out by big donors.
How Does the Citizens United Decision Still Affect Us in 2025?
In the 2024 election, the Supreme Court's 2010 decision in Citizens United helped enable record-breaking amounts of campaign spending.

They're not changing the rules of the game. They are abiding by the rules in the most antagonistic way possible. And by doing the same, you are feeding the problem. We need to actually change the rules of the game such that gerrymandering isn't an option.
Or change the goddamned game.
Disregard for representation is an American tradition? Corruption is an American tradition? Shame on you. We don't need more gerrymandering. We need no gerrymandering. We need a system that cannot be gerrymandered. This is why both major parties need to go. And apparently, so does Politico.
"Just because Trump said it, that doesn't make it true!"

Well, worded that way, it actually becomes a reasonable argument. Because Trump has certainly said a whole lot of things that he didn't mean.
This administration is reminiscent of Nero fiddling while Rome burned.
I am reminded of the time(s) Trump tweeted about how Obama could not legally order attacks on anyone without the approval of Congress.
Puerto Rico should absolutely be a state. They've voted for it twice now. DC should not be a state: we have a federal district for a reason! Though we should cede land to Virginia or Maryland.
I have a question for you. It is a very real question. It is not rhetorical. I seek an answer.

Ready?

Okay.

Do you categorically denounce the practice of killing apostates who leave Islam for other religions?
I can easily believe Trump trying to do this. I can also easily believe the Venezuelans making this up. So let's see some evidence. Where are they? Who are they?
This. We need more of this. This is how we take back our nation. This is how we fight corruption and ensure representation
This is why we need reform. Our political system runs on money, and it is getting worse. But a corrupt system doesn't want to reform itself, so reform has to come from elsewhere.
Big Tech continues to spend fortunes to avoid accountability.

Between July and September, these companies spent roughly $16 million on lobbying — the highest total recorded during this time frame since they began lobbying in Washington. https://tinyurl.com/225ukcdt
