In my eyes, Kris is so obviously and incontrovertibly a post-scratch Chara - or rather, Chara is an Undertale-ified Kris - and so it confuses me that this suggestion enrages Deltarune fans. It does not diminish the story at all to recognise this fact. The games share a dozen characters already.

Deltarune Ch. 3's alternate route lacked the same mythical quality as Ch. 2's. I recall, on release, thinking the Snowgrave Route was entirely made up. It was so bizarrely convoluted and creepypasta-esque. The charm is lost when the alt route simply takes place in seperate, purpose-made maps.

It's somewhat unclear to me why Kris (Deltarune) being a they/them girl would be beyond the pale but their being a they/them lesbian is only another quirky headcanon. The standards in use here are confusing.

I am sure others enjoy speculating that Kris from Deltarune is transfeminine, but I could not stomach the possibility of Deltarune Chapter 7 suggesting otherwise and then being drawn and quartered by tens of thousands of teenaged DR fans.

Ralsei's character does not particularly make sense if Deltarune is merely another allegory for 'escapism'. Do we truly imagine Chapter 7 will conclude with Kris saying, "Sorry, Ralsei, you're actually just my imaginary friend and not a real person. Die."
