One of many great things about Declan Rice is that I can use “club-record signing” proudly, rather than solely as implied criticism.

Cheer up Chelsea fans, at least you won your cup final 1-1. We’ll do our best to help you chase down Aston Villa this weekend.

What’s the record for the quickest a promoted team has ever avoided relegation, and are Sunderland on track to break it? It feels like it.
December 3, 2025 at 9:42 PM
9erino, genuinely, what would we have done without you this year?
December 3, 2025 at 9:26 PM
Concerning that Mosquera couldn’t even make it the three minutes to half time. Getting harder and harder to give our available defenders rest if they all keep getting injured.

At least for this game I have more than enough faith in Timber to perform.
December 3, 2025 at 8:20 PM
There goes Timber’s rare chance to rest. Damn. Need Saliba back asap.
December 3, 2025 at 8:12 PM
Merino! Love that link up from Noni and White in the build up, and the fact they celebrated together.
December 3, 2025 at 7:41 PM
Inevitable that Saka and Timber would need rests sooner or later, hope White and Madueke can step up to the task.

Great to have Ødegaard back starting, shame the strikers are presumably still not fit to do the same.
December 3, 2025 at 6:27 PM
Hope Saliba is back immediately, but if Mosquera gets a spell in the team he needs to be more positive.

He was almost never playing forward, to the extent that when Ødegaard came on he was just laying it off to Ødegaard and letting him play his role in possession instead.

Really bad performance. Hamstrung ourselves with the early yellows for the likes of Zubimendi and Calafiori, who we really needed on the pitch but couldn’t risk keeping on.

Hardly anyone wanted the ball against 10 men, they all should’ve been begging for it.
November 30, 2025 at 6:31 PM
Lewis-Skelly is on for Calafiori
November 30, 2025 at 5:35 PM
Nothing about Stamford Bridge is loud except the away end and the speaker system blasting music at us.
November 30, 2025 at 5:21 PM
Prepare for 50 minutes of Anthony Taylor desperately trying to even it out by sending an Arsenal player off.
November 30, 2025 at 5:11 PM
Caicedo spent all week listening to his own hype and buying it. Shouldn’t have.
November 30, 2025 at 5:09 PM
My second game here.
November 30, 2025 at 4:23 PM
2 points after 13 games is wild. Obviously you’d expect them to have a good spell at some point but Wolves are on track for a 6-point season.
November 30, 2025 at 4:07 PM
I was not expecting to be without Saliba, that sucks.

Other than that the team you’d expect, and obviously great to have Martinelli starting and Ødegaard, Madueke, Gyokeres, and Jesus on the bench, a lot stronger sub options than we had pre-break.
November 30, 2025 at 3:18 PM
When we have a fast break opportunity and one of our midfielders picks up the ball, there’s no one I’d rather see ahead of them than Martinelli.

Seeing him about to make a run in behind into space feels like someone stepping up to the penalty spot.
November 27, 2025 at 2:26 PM
Watching the highlights again, the whip on that cross from Calafiori is delightful. Zero time for anyone in front of Madueke to react.
November 27, 2025 at 12:20 PM
No more Bayern unbeaten streak? 😢
November 26, 2025 at 10:21 PM
That was a really good game. I stand by the fact that the tension wasn’t there, but that made it even more enjoyable honestly. Two really strong teams, and we were the better one.
November 26, 2025 at 10:12 PM
Not news but Olise is class. Notice he never gets mentioned when people want to claim hamstring surgery is a career-ender.
November 26, 2025 at 10:07 PM
Harry Kane’s record at the Emirates:

- 11 appearances
- 1 open-play goal
- 1 win

Doesn’t look particularly impressive when penalties are taken out of the equation.
November 26, 2025 at 10:01 PM
Great night for our top-two hopes (finishing first vs second brings zero benefit). The only two other teams with perfect records both lost, one of them to us.

Also loads of English teams in the play-off places right now. Fixture congestion on the way.

We are top of the leagues, say we are top of the leagues
