The Safer and Stronger Communities Team at Leeds City Council,
West Yorkshire Police and partners across the city will be hosting
free events, online sessions and engagement activities around key
areas of the Hate Crime agenda for National Hate Crime
Awareness Week.

Hate Crime Awareness Week Launch Event
Leeds City Council is proud to host the official launch of Hate Crime
Awareness Week 2025, in collaboration with West Yorkshire Police and
Stop Hate UK.
This year’s theme focuses on disability hate crime, highlighting the
lived experiences of disabled people, the barriers they face, and the
collective action needed to tackle prejudice and promote inclusion.

This informative and interactive face-to-face event will feature:

Keynote speakers from leading organisations
Table discussions to share insights and experiences
Information stalls with resources and support

Whether you're a frontline worker, community advocate, or concerned
resident, your voice matters. Join us to help shape a safer, more
inclusive Leeds.
