I mean. I like the little garlic bread pizzas but I’m not picky.
depends on the kind of pizza we are getting.
I’m going to *insert local pizza place here* anybody want anything?

I’m just a naturally curious (read: nosey) sorta guy!
This feels like a dumb question now I think about who I was asking.
Do you overthink everything or…?
You guys still use the apple-height system!? Jeez.

Move onto oranges you savages.
Oh. It was awkward for Nate. Though that wasn’t anything new. He exists in a perpetual state of awkwardness.

“Eh. I’ve tried it before but uh…”

He sort of chuckled.

“…I always ended up arguing with myself y’know?”
#Queekisms

I don’t really understand the situation and I’m way too tired to fully comprehend what’s going on.

But with the gist being kinda understood I just wanna say:

I love my trans homies.
Always a safe space for y’all with me.

He looked up and at Franklin as he sat down next to Nate. Honestly, he didn’t feel like socialising much.

But clearly it’s happening.

“Ha. I’ve uh. I’ve never been one for chatting much.”
“Hm? Oh!”

He sort of tries to shake it off.

“Just one of those days, y’know?”

Obviously, Nate’s keeping his cards close to his chest.
Ugh.
He feels like trash today.
< — completely zoned out
< — pretty sure he’s missed A LOT
“We can talk about this!”

Some asshole’s pulled a gun on Nate. He’s spent a solid minute trying to reason with them, but clearly this isn’t going anywhere.

They outstretch more to fire, and at that point Nate zaps them til they drop to the ground.

“I’m SHOCKED we couldn’t figure something out.”
- somehow you’re the less crazy one outta the two.”

He shrugged.

“Maybe you are the one who put you two at the crossroads.”
He quietly stared as Geto spoke. Eyebrows raising in thought behind the still mask strapped to his head.

“Have you ever considered changing course…?”

That felt weirdly poetic for him.

“I mean. No offence, but from what you’ve told me you sound like the not-so cool one in this. Unless -
❝You don’t notice it until you’re standing at a crossroads, and suddenly, the path you thought you shared is no longer the same.❞
- little. Sure, Nate was still trying and still doing his best, but he was completely exhausted and obviously overwhelmed.

“Tryin’ to do the right thing and all of that.”

He was being—or trying to be—stiff upper lipped about it. Nate is English after all.
He was caught-up in his own head, but Johnny’s greeting snapped him back to reality pretty quickly.

“Yeah.”

Nate wasn’t wearing his mask. He might’ve only said a single word, but it carried a lot of weight. A lot of confused and uncertain weight.

“But I’m getting there.”

He was lying a -
but familiar.

How much time had passed, for him to witness someone else starting a journey with a bittersweet smile.

"New to the hero business, huh?"

A casual greeting - he'd tuck away the cosmic power stuff away for now, he wanted to seem approachable as a fellow person.
He’s up, he’s…
Give him five more minutes.
