So, what needs to happen to these vandals going into all these USG offices, locking people physically out, locking them out of computer systems, connecting unsecured computers to classified systems, etc, is that they need to be arrested & charged with whatever makes sense given their actions.
adrianwashere.bsky.social
It matters what the public thinks when they see it.
adrianwashere.bsky.social
Do you not understand the difference between police *acting* reasonably, and police *looking like* they're acting reasonably?

The entire point is that they can act unreasonably, most especially when the situation makes it *falsely appear* their actions are reasonable.

We've come a long way in teledildonics.

How do we feel about claims regarding reprogramming appropriations? 🤔 bsky.app/profile/adri...
adrianwashere.bsky.social
Other than their claims, do we even have any evidence this is actually what's happening & Trump isn't just illegally paying bc Musk's minions essentially hacked the Treasury & made it so he can direct money however he likes?

Lying about reprogramming to delay revealing the Treasury is captured?

Are you illiterate? Go back and re-read what I said.

Since you've already admitted there are no actual, literal, tanks running people over, what does it mean to be metaphorically run over? What's an example of this happening?
adrianwashere.bsky.social
Nobody here is talking about sitting down except you.

And real resistance includes appearances, because perception matters. It matters whether it looks like police are in danger & acting reasonably in self-defense, or whether it looks like they're overreacting, using unjustifiable violence.
adrianwashere.bsky.social
I'm not the one pretending that protesting & dancing in the absence of tanks is the same thing as laying down in front of actual, literal, tanks.

Tell us, how should we act in a tank-less, fascist, dystopia?

My favorite is the cybertruck owner videos showing them putting like three bags of mulch in the bed.
adrianwashere.bsky.social
Ok, so, since you admit there are no tanks, do you think the tactics protesters use now should be different or the same as if there were, in fact, literal tanks in the streets?

Does the presence/absence of tanks matter to how the public responds? Should it matter?
adrianwashere.bsky.social
What tanks? Where are the tanks? Are the tanks in the room with you right now?

No, you don't gotta hand it to him for possibly getting the third Biden cease fire eight months late after tolerating a mass starvation campaign and demanding a little ethnic cleansing and enormous bribes as a treat, and only because Netanyahu surprise bombed the chief bribe facilitator.

Researchers pointed a satellite dish at the sky for 3 years and monitored what unencrypted data it picked up. The results were shocking: They obtained thousands of T-Mobile users' phone calls and texts, military and law enforcement secrets, much more: www.wired.com/story/satell... 🧵👇
Satellites Are Leaking the World’s Secrets: Calls, Texts, Military and Corporate Data
With just $800 in basic equipment, researchers found a stunning variety of data—including thousands of T-Mobile users’ calls and texts and even US military communications—sent by satellites unencrypte...

Also, even if all that comes to pass & you get amendments, you *still* need to continue winning elections, otherwise they win elections, pack the courts, & nullify your amendments.

There's no rule you can create, no system you can devise, that can w/stand repeated electoral wins by bad actors.
adrianwashere.bsky.social
Problem isn't the rules, per se, it's who we elect to enact, enforce, & judge the rules.

Ultimately, you need to put honorable ppl of good character who will operate in good faith in charge of the gov't.

W that, the rules are less important, & w/o it, the rules don't matter at all, as we see now.
adrianwashere.bsky.social
Ok, so, win a lot of elections once, later, but how do you plan to get to that point? What about now? You don't seem to think elections will be free & fair moving forward, so what happens in between?

You don't think it'll be resolved w elections, so how will it be resolved instead?

This might be why Musk was in such a hurry to get those programmers into the Treasury, bc this was all planned in advance.
adrianwashere.bsky.social
What distinction are you making between halt & stop?
adrianwashere.bsky.social
Sure, but this just reinforces my arg re: motives for wanting Dems to capitulate & give them a "bipartisan" bill: attribution, domination, & demoralization.

Plus, preserving reconciliation leaves open the door to using it later, letting them double-cross Dems, compounding domination/demoralization.
adrianwashere.bsky.social
Then how does your proposal to "win a lot of elections once" even factor in?
adrianwashere.bsky.social
Possible the CR, as written, can't be used in reconciliation.

But even if it can, everything else I said is still applicable.
adrianwashere.bsky.social
It's a partisan game of chicken, & whoever blinks first, loses, while the other side gets multiple, mutually-reinforcing, benefits, & gains momentum, heading into both November's off-year elections & next year's midterms.

Plus, if GOP nukes filibuster, they can't obstruct Dems w it in 2027 & 2029.
