Biggest take away for me, was early last season a loss was inevitable in a sloppy, mistake filled game like that. The compete level and belief they’re gonna win is higher now, they’re gonna win a lot more of these one goal slog games this year

The character piece is overlooked and so true... The kids they've drafted and traded for are all such great, hard working young people, such an important thing in a party town like Mtl. Lol, this is amazing... Very funny to watch Americans freak out about a foreign base in their country. The US operates over 800 military bases in at least 70 other countries, if US bases abroad is not a violation of those countries sovereignty, why shouldn't the US host some?

Habs were the better team, they are young, fast, tough and deep... The Leafs had a few good stretched but mostly looked slow, and Mathews was a complete non-entity. The Habs just need a bit of time to gel and juggle the lines, and figure out how the new pieces best fit together.
