Hot take but I always see videos of the butterfly method go viral but I would *never* teach this method and here's why.
Standards Institute, Aurora with UnboundEd, and my heart is full….After 26 years in education, I can still say there’s nothing quite like being in a space where educators come together to wrestle with the hard stuff, dig into the work, and leave ready to lead change.

Dr. Charles Drew
Known as the Father of the Blood Banking, it was Dr. Drew's research and work that allowed for new ways in which blood was stored. His work found that if whole blood and plasma was separated, the "shelf life" could be extended up to 7 days. #blackmedicalexcellence

Sojourner Truth
Formerly enslaved, Ms. Truth, was a firm participant in the fight for civil and women's rights. She challenged that suffrage and gender inferiority for women could also be argued with formerly enslaved men, which caused disagreements with Douglass...all of this by 1860 ✊🏾

Audre Lorde
Black, lesbian, mother, warrior, poet. She fought racism, sexism, and homophobia with fearless truth. From Sister Outsider to The Cancer Journals, her words remind us: ‘Your silence will not protect you.’ Her legacy teaches us to speak and act unapologetically.

Mr. Victor Hugo Green grew tired of blacks having so much uncertainty about their safety when traveling in NYC. As a result, he published The Negro Motorist Green Book, which listed places blacks were safe while traveling. The book eventually was expanded to the south and west coast. 🔥

THE FIRST black man to direct a major film, Shaft, but do you know how iconic his photos ARE? His mission was to show the world how to fight against racism, poverty, and social unacceptance through the lens of his camera.
