I knew it! The very next lesson, I learned there's more ways to use 'Verbている'.

You also use it when talking about:
- Something in a changed state (like "My parents aren't home" or "My pencil broke")
- Describing a noun in a changed state

Though I'm still a little confused on that last one.

The past few days have been busy, but I finally managed to get a new lesson in.

So, "Verbている" is used when talking about:
- Something that happens regularly
- A profession or a job
- Something done over and over again (example: going to the store every week)

There are more uses, I bet!

Anyway, you thought that 後 (あと) only means 'after? Hahaha- WRONG.

It can also be used to say 'the rest', 'behind', 'toward the end' and 'after one's death'! Are there more uses?
