Micheal Ray Richardson, the colorful, unpredictable guard who helped the 1987-88 Albany Patroons win the Continental Basketball Association title and later coached the Patroons, died Tuesday at age 70 in Oklahoma after fighting prostate cancer.
Former Patroons player, coach Micheal Ray Richardson dies at age 70
He found a home with the Patroons under coach Bill Musselman. In his only playing season in Albany, Richardson averaged 14 points per game as the Patroons went 48-6.
