Remove "CAF unit" from this, and this is all still true. The IRS is just a mess right now in general.
I know I sound like a broken record, but I can't stress enough how very (very) bad the CAF unit is at IRS these days.
Not a day goes by that I don't hear from a taxpayer or tax professional about another rejected Form 2848 for ridiculous/wrong reasons.

For those of you not on the other app, Teddy had a rough run it to April 15. On Monday, he went from perfectly fine to needing life or death surgery. His tummy flipped. But we took him to the doggy ER, they unflipped his stomach, took out his spleen, & he's still in recovery & still the goodest boy.

Tax pros are reporting that the extension payment date for taxpayers who log into the IRS website seems incorrect (April 22, 2025). I checked, and I noticed the same issue (along with the 'regradless' typo). (1/3)
